Daily Encountered Needs to receive WISDOM

" Don't try to understand things that are too hard for you, or investigate matters that are beyond your power to know. Concentrate on the Law, which has been given to you. You do not need to know about things which the Lord has not revealed,  so don't concern yourself with them. After all, what has been shown to you is beyond human power to understand.  Many people have been misled by their own opinions; their wrong ideas have warped their judgment

 - Sirach 3:21-24

"All wisdom comes from the Lord and Wisdom is with him forever. " - Sirach 1:1

11 The fear of the Lord is glory and exultation,

and gladness and a crown of rejoicing.

12 The fear of the Lord delights the heart,

and gives gladness and joy and long life.

13 Those who fear the Lord will have a happy end;

on the day of their death they will be blessed.

14 To fear the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;

she is created with the faithful in the womb. - Sirach 1:11-14

Self-control

22 There is no excuse for unjustified anger; it can bring about your downfall. 23 Wait and be patient, and later you will be glad you did.24 Keep quiet until the right time to speak, and you will gain a reputation for good sense. - Sir 1:22-24

My son, if you come forward to serve the Lord, prepare yourself for temptation.

2Set your heart right and be steadfast, and do not be hasty in time of calamity.

3Cleave to him and do not depart, that you may be honored at the end of your life.

4Accept whatever is brought upon you, and in changes that humble you be patient.

5For gold is tested in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of humiliation.

6Trust in him, and he will help you; make your ways straight, and hope in him.

7You who fear the Lord, wait for his mercy; and turn not aside, lest you fall.

8You who fear the Lord, trust in him, and your reward will not fail;

9you who fear the Lord, hope for good things, for everlasting joy and mercy.

10Consider the ancient generations and see: who ever trusted in the Lord and was put to shame? Or who ever persevered in the fear of the Lord and was forsaken? Or who ever called upon him and was overlooked?

11For the Lord is compassionate and merciful; he forgives sins and saves in time of affliction.   - Sirach 2:1-11

At first, Wisdom will lead you along difficult paths. She will make you so afraid that you will think you cannot go on. The discipline she demands will be tormenting, and she will put you to the test with her requirements until she trust you completely.
Then she will come to you with no delay, reveal her secrets to you, and make you happy. - Sirach 4:17-18
Those who fear the Lord are always ready to serve Him. They humble themselves before Him and say, " We place our destiny in the hands of the Lord, not in human hands, because His mercy is as great as His majesty. - Sirach 3:17-18
3 If you respect your father, you can make up for your sins, 4 and if you honor your mother, you are earning great wealth. 5 If you respect your father, one day your own children will make you happy; the Lord will hear your prayers. 6 If you obey the Lord by honoring your father and making your mother happy, you will live a long life. 7 Obey your parents as if you were their slave. 8 Honor your father in everything you do and say, so that you may receive his blessing. 9 When parents give their blessing, they give strength to their children's homes, but when they curse their children, they destroy the very foundations. - Sirach 3:3-9

Humility

17 My child, perform your tasks with humility;[a]
    then you will be loved by those whom God accepts.
18 The greater you are, the more you must humble yourself;
    so you will find favor in the sight of the Lord.

Giving to the Poor

30 Giving to the poor can make up for sin, just as water can put out a blazing fire. 31 Anyone who responds to others with acts of kindness is thinking of the future, because he will find help if he ever falls on hard times. - Sirach 3:30-31

Never give a hungry person any cause for resentment or anger. Don't add to the trouble of someone who is already desperate. If he is in need, don't put off giving to him. Don't refuse to helo  beggar who is in distress. Don't turn your back on a poor person or give him any reason to curse you. If he becomes so bitter that he does curse you, his Creator will hear his prayer. - Sirach 4:2-6
Self - Confidence
Humility deserves honor and respect, but a low opinion of yourself leads to sin. Do not let others have their way at your expense, do not bring on your own ruin by giving up your rights. Never hesitate to speak out when the occasion calls for it. Don't hide your wisdom.    - Sirach 4:21-23
Your wisdom and education can be known only by what you say. "Do not, however, go against the truth, and remember that you do not know everything.  - Sirach 4:24-25
Do  not be ashamed to confess your sins. - Sirach 4:26
Don't allow yourself to be dominated by someone who is stupid or show partiality to influential people. Stand up for what is right, even if it costs you your life; the Lord God will be fighting on your side.    - Sirach 4:27-28
Do not rely on money to make you independent    - Sirach 4: 1
Sincerity and Self-Control
Always ready to listen, but take your time in answering. Answer only if you know what to say, and if you don't know what to say, keep quiet. Speaking can bring you honor or disgrace; what you say can ruin you.    - Sirach 4:11-13
Friendship
If you are polite and courteous, you will enjoy the friendship of many, but take advice from only one person out of a thousand. When you make friends don't be too quick to trust them, make sure that they will have proved themselves. Some people will be your friends only when it is convenient for them, but they won't stand by you in trouble. Others will fall out with you over some argument, and then embarrass you by letting everyone know about it. - Sirach 4:5-9

Stay away from your enemies and be on guard against your friends. - Sirach 4:13

A loyal friend is like a safe shelter; find one and you have found a treasure.    - Sirach 4:14

A loyal friend is like a medicine that keeps you in good health. Only those who fear the Lord can find such a friend. - Sir 4:16

A person who fears the Lord can make real friendships as he does himself.    - Sir 4:17
Go where the old people are, find someone who is wise, and stay with him. Be ready to listen when religious people speak, and don't miss anything that shows insight. If you find someone with understanding, get up early to call on him; wear out hid doorstep with your visits.    - Sirach 6:34-36
Devote all your time to studying the Lord's commnds and thinking about them. He will give you the insight and wisdom you are looking for.    - Sir 4:37
Never get tires of praying, and never miss  chance to give to the poor. Do not laugh at someone who has been humiliated. It is the Lord who humbles a person, but the Lord also raises him up again.    - Sir 4:10
Don't betray a friend for money. Don't betray a real friend for all the gold in the word.
Don't miss your chance to marry a wise and good woman. A gracious wife is worth more than gold.   - Sir 4:18-19
